“Kelly Ryan O'Brien isn't in style. She is style.” So said the Chicago Sun-Times last March when it named her one of the city's most influential “it” girls. For five years, she ran events and marketing Gen Art Chicago – ultimately serving as its national marketing director before she was lured to Michigan Avenue magazine as its director of PR and marketing. While serving at Gen Art, the premier not-for-profit for emerging artists, Kelly produced the city's leading arts and entertainment events to promote undiscovered talent to Chicago 's tastemakers – such as Fresh Faces in Fashion, Styles and Ignite. Kelly also was recently named one of Chicago's 40 most influential people by the Chicago Tribune's Red Eye and was appointed to the first-ever mayoral Fashion Advisory Board. She previously worked for Donna Karan in New York, creating high profile parties and styling clients like Demi Moore, IMAN, Sting and David Bowie.
